Day 01: Welcome to Fortaleza!
Founded in 1826, Fortaleza is a city of a thousand enchantments. A place rich in history and natural beauty that provides moments of rare emotion to its visitors. A modern and varied hotel infrastructure capable of hosting the most sophisticated or simple guests. Allied to this, a local cuisine tasty enough to enchant the most demanding gourmets. From one side of the city to another, there are multiple of options for restaurants, nightclubs, museums, theatres. Where only commitments is to have fun. Fortaleza is the starting point for you to enjoy the sun. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Fortaleza
Half Day City Tour. It starts at Mucuripe Harbor going along Iracemas Statue, Mucuripe Dunes, Aldeotas area, ex-President Castelo Brancos Mausoleum, Iracemas Beach, Metropolitan Cathedral, Nossa Senhora da Assunçãos Fort, Tourism Center and Monsenhor Tabosa Avenue. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 03: Morro Branco Beach
Full Day Morro Branco Beach. Departure for the eastern beaches of Morro Branco and fonts beaches. Post-card scenery indeed, located 79 Kms away from Fortaleza, Morro Brancos fame certainly spread out worldwide for the fact that the beach features on its coastline the famous multicolored sand dunes. In the vicinity of Morro Branco lies the no less hyped beach of Praia das Fontes (Water-Spring beach). As the name suggests, the fame granted to this was brought about thanks to one of natures whims by the seaside. A lovely set of crystal-clear fresh water springs, which sprout from the ground and spills over down to the beach, providing a wonderful fresh-water shower after a salt water dip in the sea. After this wonderful tour you will only be able to go back to the hotel and take a long night of sleep.
Day 04: São Luis
On scheduled time, transfer to airport to flight to São Luis and reception at the airport. Transfer to the hotel for accommodation. Free time for relaxing. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: São Luis
Half Day City Tour in São Luis historical town, with its beautiful buildings, rich in Portuguese tiles. Afternoon at leisure. Optional tours: after lunch, visit the fisherman community of Raposa to know the handcraft of renda and also São José Ribamar city, a religious balneary. Stop for bathing. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Barreirinhas
Regular transfer to Barreirinhas between 05:00 am and 06:00 am. It takes around 3:30hs. The city of Barreirinhas is the entrance of the national park of Lençois Maranhenses. Accommodation at the inn. After lunch, tour to the National Park by 4x4 vehicle. Here we will have an idea of the beauty and the dimension of Lençois Maranhenses. Visit and stop for bathing in the lagoons. Return to Barreirinhas. Overnight at pousada.
Day 07: Barreirinhas
Boat tour through Preguiças River. Visit the dunes in Vassouras for walks and Mandacaru village, where you can visit also the lighthouse and appreciate the view of the region from the top. Return to Barreirinhas. Overnight at pousada.
Day 08: Return to São Luis
Transfer to São Luis (3:30 hrs distance) in the morning. Arrive at the airport.
